The story behind the image
The ‘Angel of Peace’ overlooks Munich in Germany from above the Isar River, and its one of the many icons of the city.
In September 2006 I took my camera to capture the monument shortly before sunset. The sun had already its orange glow and came almost straight from behind. I cropped out all the heavy traffic that flows left and right of the monument to put the focus just on the monument and the trees surrounding it.
I really like this image, especially its warm colors.
P.S.: Here’s a photo of the angel statue at the top.
