The story behind the image
Alsace has several beautiful towns, and one of these is Obernai with its old town, stunning market place, narrow streets and many historic buildings. In the old times, the town was protected by city walls and watchtowers.
This photo shows the view across the Place du Marché with the old pharmacy (on the right) and a restaurant (on the left). Palm trees and flowers in the foreground add a nostalgic touch to the image. (The pharmacy has a much larger neon sign today.)
