The story behind the image
In 2001 I had been frequently traveling to Madrid, Spain. One weekend, Petra joined me, and we explored the city together.
This image shows the Palacio Real with its magnificient courtyard. It is the residence of the Spanish royal family in the capital and quite close to the city center.
Of course, it would have been great to have a better camera than the Kodak, especially as you can see a bit of grain in the sky and the resolution is not high by todays standards, but I think that it’s OK for the blog and serves me as a nice memory. These were still early days for digital photography, and the Kodak served me well during that period.
The high resolution image
