The story behind the image
Every now and then, the Isar river that flows through Munich in Germany, gets flooded. This can happen when strong rain in the Alps coincidences with a strong snow melt.
This happened around Penecost 1999 again and completely changed the appearance of the Isar in the city center of Munich during the flood – usually, you would be able to walk under the bridge next to the river bed.
