The story behind the image
We extensively traveled across Italy in 2000. On our way from the famous Cinque Terre area towards Tuscany we passed the village of Ameglia. It has been erected on a steep hill, originally just as Castello di Ameglia. But when the village continued to grow additional buildings have been erected outside the walls of the castle. The result is the very impressive view of the buildings.
