The story behind the image
We had picked up our rental car in the morning at Vancouver International Airport in Richmond. The rental company even provided a free upgrade when they realized my height (1.95 m), and so we got a nice Buick Century Custom.
Off it went to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. BC Ferries operates their passages to and from Vancouver Island hourly, so you should not have to wait too long before getting on board. The 90 minute trip to Vancouver Island will get you into full vacation mood with plenty of stunning views like this one.
For this image I decided for an extreme crop, even if the image is just one 35 mm slide and thus does not offer super high resolution. But I really like the sight of a single yacht with colorful sails in a wide panorama.
