The story behind the image
Ireland is full of wonderful places, and these are not just limited to the seaside. We found Birr Castle to be as central (in Ireland) as it can possibly get. Birr Castle is not only a castle with a four centuries of history with a beautiful garden and park. No! It is also home to an impressive science centre and the Great Leviathan Telescope from 1845.
We massively enjoyed our stay and – since it was yet another day with a mix of sunshine and rain – I was quite happy to capture this image of the pond at the park.
If you’re wondering what to do while crossing central Ireland, please do yourself a favor and consider a stopover at Birr Castle.
