The story behind the image
We continued our trip towards the Isle of Skye. The dark clouds of the evening before were gone, and we were having a great time driving along the A832. We came to the community of Gairloch, which greeted us with great views across the Ocean and the northern tip of the Isle of Skye in the distance.
I think it’s fair to put the location of Gairloch into perspective: the next bigger city is Inverness, a 90 minute drive from here (70 miles). And to get to Edinburgh, you’ll drive about 4½ hours by car (225 miles). So, Gairloch is quite far away from the buzz of the cities. Still, it has everything you need, surrounded by the beauty of the rough west coast.
Awesome.
