The story behind the image
Every now and then I like a bit of drama.
We stayed for a night in Fort William in Scotland after a couple of perfect days at the West Coast. And then, while exploring the city in the evening, very dark clouds came up. They looked like coming directly from a doomsday movie poster. Gosh. But we could not resist and walk to the Pier Promenade and do some decent shots of the scenery. The use of a wide angle lens added more drama to the scene.
At home I was quite satisfied with the image – but I forgot it for 17 years (i.e., until now.)
Of course, you may think that I’ve over-edited the image. The clouds are too dark. The contrast is too harsh. But no, I’ve only gently adjusted the image. And that’s why I love it even more. 🙂
