The story behind the image
I expected the view from our room at the Central Plaza Hotel in Zurich to be good, if not fabulous! It was located in the third floor, right at the corner of Neumühlequai and Central. Sadly, I had just brought my tiny Sony P&S camera, but I still wanted to capture the morning light.
I got more than a decent image. Well balanced colors, nice reflections in the river, and contouring shadows from the morning sun. Admittedly, the image is tiny compared to a decent camera, but it’s still suitable for being presented on the web.
I’d say Zurich is one of the best places in the world, and I’d move there right away. If only it wasn’t so damn expensive!
