The story behind the image
It was going to a beautiful day in autumn, and so I took a camera for the walk from our appartment in Neuhausen to Nymphenburg Castle in Munich, Germany. I did not get disappointed. The park on the western side of the main building was not too crowded, and the early afternoon light illuminated the castle nicely.
Of course, I know that this is not a unique image by any means. Countless visitors have shot similar photos over the years. Yet, I like the symmetry of my image, its soft colors, and the absence of people. (I remember I had to wait a minute or two until most people were gone.) This is Nymphenburg Castle at its best.
