The story behind the image
Our trip with the Mir during the Kiel Week 1999 resulted in several awesome photos of other ships.
This photo shows the Schoner Ide Min from Holland enjoying a strong wind while steering towards the open sea. The sun had come out and illuminated the ship and the water, providing saturated colors and good contrast, while the dark clouds in the back added drama.
