The story behind the image
During our 2006 Baltic Sea trip with my father-in-law we had a period of warm and sunny weather, and it was easy to capture a number of maritime photos because so many ships where enjoying the smooth weather. The Maja is an impressive 3-mast schooner from Denmark that also crossed our way.
I like this image, because the colors are saturated and clear, and the maritime theme never fails to grab my attention. Even if it was just shot with my tiny Canon Digital Ixus 60 point-and-shoot camera, I think it’s a good way to start off the month of April.
