The story behind the image
For our excursion to the Namib-Naukluft-Park we booked the excellent Sossusvlei Lodge in Sesriem which is conveniently located right in front of the entrance gate to the park. Yes, it was expensive (at least by our standards), but the service and the comfort were incredible and worth every cent, especially when you consider that you’re in the middle of nowhere and still have all the amenities you may want.
Here, Petra modeled for me in the swimming pool, admiring the surroundings of the lodge. In the evening we had booked a sundowner tour – but that’s a different story.
