The story behind the image
A weekend trip brought us to the beautiful town of Kitzbühel in Austria which is best known for its Hahnenkamm ski race which takes place at the Streif, one of the fastest and most danegrous ski tracks in the world. The town also attracts jet set people from around the world. (So what on Earth would we be doing there?)
Turns out that Kitzbühel is much more than just ski races, aprés ski parties, and celebreties. In fact, it’s an excellent place for hiking, swimming, relaxing and wellness. Petra secured a discounted offer from the Lebenberg Schlosshotel – an offer too good to refuse. The hotel has very high standards and is exclusively located slightly outside and above downtown.
We explored the hotel and the area for a weekend, and this is where I shot this photo. Petra is in the hotel pool and watches the town through the giant panorama windows. Lovely.
