The story behind the image
The Lago Maggiore is shared by two countries: Italy in the South and Switzerland in the North, so you essentially get the best of two worlds: Swiss accuracy and Italian lifestyle. We stayed for a week on the Swiss side in Brissago, which is just a short drive away from the Italian border.
Using the passenger ships you can conveniently visit most of the towns around the lake. This, for example, is the town center of Cannobio. Restaurants and Cafés invite for a rest while waiting for the ferry or just to watch the tourists passing by.
The Via A. Giovanola offered this splendid view of the magnificent Collegiata di San Vittore in the back.
A classic.
