The story behind the image
Our first walk in the year of 2022 took us to the English Garden in Munich. It was a cold, but beautiful and sunny day. We started our walk at the southern tip of the park at the point known as Eisbachwelle where the small river got really fast and formed a wave enabling wave riding. After a deadly incident in 2025, the city of Munich decided to remove the elements from the fround of the river that created the wave. Read all about the Eisbach and its history at Wikipedia (in German.)

On our walk we also passed the Chinese Tower where I captured tis image. The tower is the name-giver of the beergarden right next to it. Often, brass bands play traditional tunes from the first floor of the tower to entertain the visitors of the beergarden. Horse-drawn carriages start their tours through the English Garden at the foot of the tower.
I really like the symmetry of the image and the clear blue sky with its strong color.
Nice.
