The story behind the image
Here is another image of our short stopover in Bernburg (Saale) in Germany, a small city with a long history. Today, it is the capital of the Salzlandkreis district in Saxony-Anhalt. It has an old castle with a large courtyard and a long history. Many buildings and streets in the town center have been restored to bring out the best of the city.
This photo shows a view along the beautifully restored Große Einsiedelgasse which leads up to the castle. (The castle, however, is not the orange building in the center.)
Nice.
