The story behind the image

Our day trip to the Cape of Good Hope was coming to an end, and we used the curvy and beautiful Chapman’s Peak Drive to get slowly back to Cape Town. The drive reminded us to Highway 101 in California. Admittedly, it was not as long as its Californian twin but it provided equally impressive views along the rugged coastline.

And we took our time for plenty of photo stops enroute via Hout Bay and Camps Bay where we dined while gazing into the setting sun and watching the paragliders land. Despite this was 20 years ago, I still fondly remember that day.

When in Cape Town, do yourself a favor and plan for a trip to Cape of Good Hope.
