The story behind the image
What’s better to start the day with a sunrise? Well, here’s a sunrise I experienced in Grömitz in Germany at the Baltic Sea. Grömitz is a village between Oldenburg i. Holstein and Lübeck and has a long history as a beach destination. Previously I already posted images of the past, here and here (and will continue to post more.)
That morning I took the camera bag and spent some time at the beach to enjoy the silence of the maritime experience. As I had brought the tremendous Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens, I opted for an aperture of f/22 to create the impression of the sun surrounded by beams – and it worked!
Lovely.
