The story behind the image
From Kingman in Arizona we continued our drive along the Historic Highway 66 via Hackberry towards Seligman, a small town next to Interstate 40 (and Route 66, of course.)
We stopped for a coffee at the Roadkill Café which is one of the key attractions of the town, thanks to its authentic interior. When we visited in 2003, the café had still a large Route 66 sign to attract guests. Today they have changed their marketing strategy and go by the slogan: “You Kill It, We Grill It!”
