The story behind the image
Schliersee is home to a small community of nature lovers, and its easy to see why: its situated close to the mountains next to a beautiful lake (the Schliersee.)
The community also takes care of not following the trend of placing buildings whereever there is a small free spot of land. No, it preserves larger meadows like the one shown in my photo. Despite being 15+ years old by now, the location has not dramatically changed. Isn’t that just awesome?
So, when you are in the area and wondering what to do – why not do a side-trip to Schliersee and enjoy a walk around the lake? (And yes, it can be done!)
