The story behind the image
On our way from Squamish to Vancouver in British Columbia we used Highway 99, which is also known as Sea to Sky Highway. It offers countless stunning photo opportunities as it closely follows the coastline.
We stopped at Horseshoe Bay, a small, busy town best known for its ferry terminal. We were lucky and could watch the MV Queen of Oak Bay as it loaded new cars.
One of the routes from Horseshoe Bay leads to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Our trip was coming to an end, and we just wished we could hop on board and continue the trip on Vancouver Island. (But sadly, our flight home was booked already.)
