The story behind the image
For our 2004 trip to South Africa we spent the first couple of nights in the city center of Cape Town. Of course, we also explored Table Mountain, one of the key attractions of the city. We took the cable car in the late afternoon and enjoyed the awesome panorama from the nearby viewing platform. The afternoon sun was already throwing long shadows across the city center, and I deliberately positioned Petra with her bright red hiking jacket in the frame to highlight the height.
Lovely.
