The story behind the image
In September 2005 I received my brand new Canon EOS-1Ds mark II and started shooting right away to get acquainted with the new body. Already in October we visited Zurich in Switzerland and were quite happy about the fabulous weather.
The Münsterbrücke crosses the Limmat river in the town center and provides beautiful views in both directions. My photo shows the view towards North, with the historic church St. Peter on the left. The Rathausbrücke is in the center, and it is really not just a bridge but a larger area. And this area was used to celebrate the mini Oktoberfest also featuring a carousel! Needless to say, this event is way smaller than the original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, but it certainly has a lot of local mood.
Very nice.
