The story behind the image
Florence for sure is on of the most photographed cities in the world. Its heritage and outright beauty makes it a wonderful destination for countless tourists from around the world, and its difficult to shoot any unusual images.
My image shows Ponte Vecchio, the world famous iconic bridge of Florence, at night. Surprisingly, it seems that in 1999 it was not as brightly illuminated as it is today, which makes it somewhat unusual. And I like it because the dark patches on the left create a bit of mystery, and help envisioning how the bridge might have looked like two centuries ago.
Nice.
