The story behind the image
Here’s another image showing off the beauty of autumn trees. We drove to Grundern which is located between Bad Tölz and Lenggries in Bavaria, to hike on the Sonntraten Trail, an easy yet steep trail with plenty of exciting viewpoints. The trees were already showing a wild mix of green, red, orange, and brown tones. Then I spotted this lonely tree and thought it would be a perfect addition to my Lonely Tree Series.
Usually, it’s only a short time span (just a few days) where trees show the full color range – from red to green – at the same time, on the same tree. All too sudden they will turn into full orange and yellow which can also be exciting, but it’s not that rare. The blue sky offers lots of copy space.
Nice.
