The story behind the image
North of Cork you will look for the ruins of Glanworth Castle. Next to it is the historic Glanworth Mill which sits quietly next to the River Funshion. I remember this to be an extremely peaceful location with very little traffic or tourists – its just you, this place loaded with history, and the gentle wind that blows across the countryside. I can imagine that the place has not changed at all for a long period of time, so it’s almost as if a time machine has transported us to another century. It would not surprise us to see horse-drawn carriages delivering the grain to the miller. (They didn’t but it’s easy to envision.)
