The story behind the image
A shot of the many weddings I have photographed., and a good photo start the week off. The traditional Bavarian band had played for the couple and their guests and was now taking a rest. The tuba player had simply put his huge instrument on the grass and waited through the pause.
I love this photo because it shouts ‘Bavarian’ at me but in a genuine, authentic way. This is not a band that plays at a commercialized fest but to conserve Bavarian traditions. And this image expresses this Bavarian-ness perfectly. Both thumbs up!
