The story behind the image
A heavy rainshower went down over the town of Bellaria-Igea Marina near Rimini in Italy. We could seek protection under an awning near Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, which is the main piazza. Now, rain is not unusual at that time of the year, but for those (like us) who were looking for beach vacations, it was a bit irritating.
Having said that. it was interesting to see the people rushing by with their umbrellas while those having enough time (or no umbrella) could hide under the awnings. I like the motion blur of the umbrellas, the colors, and the visualization of the heavy raindrops that were pouring down. The 1/33 sec. exposure time captured their fall nicely.
A few minutes later, the rainshower was over, and we could continue our walk through the town center.
