Mondlift, Munich

The story behind the image

I took my camera and a sturdy tripod to the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. The evening was warm, a good opportunity to do some long exposure shots. Here is a nice shot of the ‘Mondlift’ fun ride (‘Lift to the Moon’ in English) in action.

An exposure time of almost 1 second totally blurred the circular lights of all moving parts. The square crop puts the focus on the circles and adds further dynamic. All this is enhanced by the awesome colors. Nice.
