The story behind the image
We encountered this graveyard on our trip from Tobermory to Calgary on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. It is situated next to the B8073 very close to the Kilmore Standing Stones (but on the other side of the road.) The graveyard was surrounded by sheep, underlining once more the huge population of sheep on the island.
I like the way the graveyard has been settled on a gentle hill, making it look unusually distorted. It’s a peaceful location for sure, just about right for a graveyard. The slight drizzle that had set in added to the natural mood of the place.
