The story behind the image
One of the many attractions Carinthia in Austria is the Nockalm Road which leads from the Millstädter See up to the highest point of the road at Eisenhütte, exactly 2,042 meters above sea level. It’s a fantastic day trip with countless photo opportunities.
Slightly south of the highest point you get the chance to capture this beautiful section of the curvy road. I like it because the beauty of the road is visible right away: A tight turn in the middle of the mountains, and a road that drops steeply. Not just motor bikers like this section, but also guys like me (with a station wagon.)
While the road can be busy at times, there is not too much traffic. Of course, I had to wait for a few moments until just this single car came along.
