The story behind the image

Last Sunday has been an exceptionally beautiful autumn day in Bavaria, and we took the opportunity to get to Tegernsee and hike up to the Riederstein chapel high above the lake.

The view was clear and simply stunning, and we could see Rottach-Egern, the lake and the Galaun restaurant (in the bottom right corner of the image.) All the autumn colors were present, with the meadow in front of the restaurant creating a single green spot in the middle of the woods.

Our hike, by the way, started at the ice rink parking lot at 783 meters and took us to 1165 meters, a whopping 382 meters difference, and not for the faint hearted!
