Colorful Fall (I)

OCTOBER 2019 – On a sunny day, a single tree in Unterhaching, Germany, shows all the colors of fall, ranging from dark orange to light green. © Mark Zanzig/zanzig.com

The story behind the image

Personally, I am not a big fan of the fall. Summer is clearly over, the days get shorter, it gets colder, it rains more often. The list of disadvantages is long. However, one of the (few) benefits are the natural colors of fall.

In this case, I was very lucky to spot this single tree that presents all its natural colors at the same time: From saturated orange, almost brown, at the top to juicy green at the bottom left. All of this against a blue sky that also shows a gradient from dark blue at the top to light blue at the bottom. Lovely.
