The story behind the image
We strongly recommend to leave the A896 at Kinlochewe and use the narrow road towards the west coast which will provide you with countless georgeous sights. When you finally meet the west coast again – between Fearnmore and Applecross – you won’t regret the effort of driving on single track roads.
The photo shows the beautiful view near Cuaig, with the mountains of the Isle of Skye in the back. The cyclist was as stunned as we were, especially considering that he was about to drive along this road.
The lens flare in the bottom right corner of the image annoys me a bit, but so what? It’s a still cool image that makes me want to return in the future.
