The story behind the image
Another photo of Loch Maree with the 980 m high Slioch in the back, overlooking the Loch. While 980 meters may not sound that much, please consider that we’re on sea level, so we’re essentially talking about the net height of the mountain.
I like this image despite the fact that the tip of the Sliloch is hidden in the clouds. Its nice reflection on the calm water compensates for this. And no, we could not wait until the clouds had dissolved. We still had a distance to drive – and a lot to see! – on our way from Aultbea to Plockton…
