The story behind the image
Maitland Beach near Summerstrand in South Africa is one giant beach that stretches for about 20 kilometers between Port Elizabeth and Jeffrey’s Bay. When driving from P.E. on the M9 towards west you’ll pass an awesome viewpoint that also provides convenient access to the beach.
The rocks were a bit difficult to get to, but this woman had made it to the top and sat there, enjoying the morning sun. I especially like the shimmering reflections of the sun in the Indian Ocean and the colors of the sea and sand. I wish I could be there, right now. Oh wait! It’s winter right now in South Africa, so I rather wish I could be there, right now, but with the temperatures of early March.
Whatever, it’s a great, extremely relaxing place, and I can only recommend visiting Maitland Beach should you be in the area.
