The story behind the image
Not much of a story here. We visited Carmel at the West Coast of California and there was this beautiful Stars & Stripes flag waving gently in the wind. Gently? What do you mean? The wind was perfect for photographing a flag: Not too strong (which would make it almost stand away from the pole in a right angle), not too weak (which would make it slop down like a powerless piece of cloth.) No, it was absolutely perfect. And I still love this shot.
And so I think it’s only fair to publish this image on the 4th of July.
