The story behind the image
We had arrived early in Jasper, Alberta, to find a nice accommodation for the night which turned out to be a challenge of its own. In 2002 there were no convenient online booking services, let alone mobile booking services, and so we turned to the local Tourist Board for help. They had a list of places and a free local phone, and then we had to inquire with each place directly. After several calls we found found a nice B&B for two nights, checked in and then explored the town.
It was late afternoon by now, and the sun was casting long shadows, illuminating the surrounding mountains perfectly. I had the idea of showing a RV – the perfect vehicle for outdoor lovers – in front of the mountains, and I did not have to wait for long. Slowly, a GMC RV drove along one of the main parking lots of Jasper at Connaught Dr., and I had my image. Nice.
