The story behind the image
When on the island of Mallorca in Spain, please consider visiting the South-East and especially the beautiful village called Cala Figuera with its small, protected harbour. It is quite narrow, and you won’t find too many big, shiny yachts here. Rather, you’ll find a fleet of traditional small fisher boats that are still used for fishing. If you are lucky you may encounter fishermen sitting at the harbour repairing their nets as part of their daily routine.
I captured this photo in the late afternoon, and the sun was already quite low. I like the sparkling reflections of the sun and the overall mood created by the long shadows. Standing in the shadow of a building elminated any lens flare that might have occured otherwise. Nice.
