The story behind the image
Lake Tegernsee is one of the many beautiful spots just south of Munich attracting many visitors and tourists from the region throughout the year. One of the many highlights are electrical boats that you can rent on an hourly basis. Emission free and silent, these offer an unspoilt way of exploring the lake.
For this shot I realized that a rental boat would soon cross the frame and opted for a heavy contrast as the sun was streaming in almost frontally. The seagull added to the view while the bright water and dark background provide lots of copyspace (if needed.) The building on top of the hills is Schloss Ringberg, a convention site today.
