The story behind the image
Weddings are perfect to explore new ways to illustrate and explore creative concepts that have been widely photographed. When I shoot my weddings I always try to add some new spice when shooting the rings.
In this photo, I combined press photography with wedding photography. Press photography, because I did not plan this exact photo. For the most important shots of the wedding I know in advance where to position to get the desired look of an image. However, when I saw the two administrants carrying the tray with the rings and the family book, I just had to stop them and ask them for a photo. I needed them just as a backdrop to capture the two formal items that seal the wedding. And it worked out nicely.
