The story behind the image
During the route from Cork towards the west coast we came across the beautiful River Lee, which meanders towards Cork before finally meeting the Atlantic Ocean. A couple of dams have been erected to generate power and to form huge reservoirs. The overland drive along small roads is stunning and reveals many opportunities for views of the river and the reservoirs.
