The story behind the image
This is the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse, seen from the St Blaize Hiking Trail. The trailhead is right under the lighthouse at the St Blaize Cave where artefacts dated to the Middle Stone Age have been found. The trail itself is moderate and follows the awesome coastline.
The large building is the Point Hotel & SPA which couldn’t possibly be more prominently located. Surrounded by rocks there are no beaches next to the hotel, but tidal pools with a bit of sand. And of course, there is the large Santos Beach just a short drive away (3 km).
