The story behind the image
We visited Portovenere in Italy in the late afternoon, and the sun was already casting looong shadows and that very special warm glow, and I love the way this has been reproduced by the Fuji slide film.
This photo shows the view from the Chiesa di San Pietro which is situated at the very end of the village, surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea. The church in the upper left section of the photo is San Lorenzo which overlooks the village. Portovenere is certainly on my list for places I’d love to revisit in the future.
