The story behind the image
We spent the morning at the barn playground of Pirker’s Familienpension at the Faaker See close to Villach, Austria. It’s a kids paradise: all kinds of toys – from building blocks to toy cars to dolls – on the first floor of a large barn.
Out of interest I looked at the toy cars. Which boy would not love his collection of cars? And sure enough, they were all quite battered. They had seen better times for sure. But isn’t that all the fun – to have the power to let two cars bump into each other and see what happens?
I especially liked this car which certainly has had a very hard time at the playground. Even if the paint was missing here and there, the structure of main body was still flawless, and it would move like a rocket! So, the original paint was a good match: this car is a true rocket. The toy car of my dreams.
