The story behind the image
Driving between Golden and Salmon Arm we passed Mount Revelstoke National Park and decided that it would be worth a stop and take a side trip to the top using the Meadows In The Sky Parkway. The Parkway climbs for 26 km to the 1,920 m summit of Mount Revelstoke. The narrow road has many switchbacks, thus trailers and buses are not permitted.
After a short walk from the parking lot at the top I captured this tremendous view across the Columbia River. Awesome.
