The story behind the image
In December 2009 we spent a couple of days in Salzburg to experience the traditional Christmas Market. During our visit the area was struck by very cold temperatures that could go down to -20 °C at night. But these could not stop us from walking up to the Fortress and continue the walk towards the Mönchsberg. Along the route you will encounter this awesome view. The clarity from the cold temperatures, the pale sunlight and the total absence of green make this photo very special (I think).
