The story behind the image
Did I mention that we love all things Italian? A 2008 trip brought us to the Dievole winery, situated about 18 kilometers north of Sienna in the beautiful hills of Tuscany, directly in the Chianti region. Their wines are as excellent as their food.
Tuscany is an eye feast for every photographer and that’s true for me as well. So I got up early to capture a lot of nice shots of the surroundings of the winery. I selected this photo for the blog post because I like the clear lines, the dominance of green shades, and the rising sun that flashes through the wine as a nice star with eight beams.
